Ysgol Llangoed Book
This book has been created to celebrate the connection between the Llangoed Flower Show and our community. Taking inspiration from the blooming hedgerows and natural areas in the grounds of the school, poet Sian Northey and artist Elen Williams led the students of Ysgol Llangoed to create poems and artworks inspired by the natural world.
This workshop was inspired by the works and lives of the Massy Sisters, Gwenddolen and Edith Massey, botanical illustrators who lived in Cornelyn Manor in Llangoed during the late 19th Century.
The workshop at Ysgol Llangoed took place on the 22nd of May 2023 and was included as part of the outreach of 2023 Llangoed Flower Show. It was generously supported by the Cwlwm Seiriol project.
This publication was supported by the Sustainable Development Fund, a Welsh Government initiative in the Isle of Anglesey Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
