‘Y Berllan’ Llangoed Community Orchard

16 fruit trees were planted in the spring of 2023, funded by Medrwn Môn with the support of Cwlwm Seiriol, Seiriol Alliance and Llangoed and Penmon community Council. The Welsh fruit trees supplied by Ian Sturrock & Sons and planted by members of our community.

Lyn Gallagher, a local Penmon community potter is creating ceramic labels for each tree while Ali is in the process of making wooden frames for the young trees so they are not damaged by the mowing. The trees are watered using the water from the community well by the orchard’s closest neighbours - Ali, Ian and James.
